Tilting Ale

A pale ale is being served on Avanti West Coast rail services after it was brought back by popular demand.

Tilting Ale, made specially for the train operator by RedWillow Brewery, in Macclesfield, went back on sale this month. It has a loyal fanbase, with many customers asking if it was going to make a return.

Now available at the on-board shop, the British pale ale has a new look, while retaining the light, hoppy taste which has proved a hit with customers and connoisseurs alike.

RedWillow Brewery stands alongside the West Coast route, less than half a mile south of Macclesfield station.

Rob Taylor, Avanti West Coast’s food and beverage development lead, said: “Real ale continues to grow in popularity and it’s great to be able to partner with a brewery so close to one of our stations on our route. We’re delighted to have Tilting Ale on Avanti West Coast.”
