Beer lovers can sample the UK’s largest collection of beers and ciders from around the world in Burton upon Trent from March 8 to 10, when the International Festival of Beer returns to the National Brewery Centre.

At this year’s festival, more than 1,000 beers and ciders from around the UK and over 50 countries worldwide will be available for tasting, including beers from Russia, Brazil, Kazakhstan and South Korea. Visitors can also sample some of the winners from the prestigious International Brewing Awards 2019 that precedes the festival.

The sessions will be held from 6pm to midnight on Friday, noon to 5pm and 6pm to midnight on Saturday, and noon to 5pm on Sunday. There will be a wide selection of cask, keg and bottled products, a variety of pilsners, street food, and beer and food matching appreciation talks. Beer samples are included in the ticket price, as is entrance to the Bass Museum.

In conjunction with circularity.org, there will also be live bands and a DJ from 6pm on Friday to 7pm on Sunday. A wide range of acts to suit a variety of musical tastes will perform on two stages.

Sarah Tooley, general manager at the National Brewery Centre, said: “We’re delighted to host the International Festival of Beer back in Burton this year. There’s an incredible range of beers, ales and ciders on offer for all tastes, from the casual drinker right up to the real beer connoisseur. There’s also plenty of food, music, entertainment, and more, so you can make a real weekend of it!”
