This spring, as part of its seasonal listings, Mitchells & Butlers’ Castle Pubs estate is giving Dog Days Session Ale, from Australian brewer Little Creatures, it’s eagerly anticipated UK debut.

Dog Days, a beer which started life as a limited edition summer seasonal in Australia only three years ago, has finally made its way to Britain and will be served exclusively in more than 100 unique and historic Castle pubs.

Craft beer fans, experts and newcomers can enjoy the “peachy, juicy-fruit hop flavours” of the Down Under brew until early June. The addition of Dog Days to the Castle estate craft beer line-up will sit alongside Little Creatures’ older sibling, Little Creatures Pale Ale, on taps for the same seasonal window.

Drinks procurement manager for Mitchells & Butlers, Ben Lockwood, said: “Little Creatures Pale Ale has always been a popular choice in our pubs, so when the opportunity came to be the exclusive UK launch partner for Dog Days Session Ale, it was too good to turn down.

Eclectic seasonal listings

“Little Creatures is an iconic brewery known across the globe and this genuine import is sure to be a firm favourite with our guests.

“Dog Days will join Castle’s line up of eclectic seasonal listings, which already includes plenty other exciting and exclusive brews.”

John Hadingham, from Little Creatures, added: “Mitchells & Butlers will provide the perfect springboard for Dog Days to propel its way into the tastebuds of the UK’s craft beer lovers.

“Enjoying a beer is just as much about the context and the attention to detail with which it is served as it is about the beer itself. With this in mind, there is no doubt that Mitchells and Butlers will provide a top notch Dog Days experience.”

Guests will be able to enjoy Dog Days across M&B’s Castle estate until middle of June, including the likes of The White Horse in Parsons Green, Southwark Tavern at Borough Market, and the Adelphi in Leeds.
