The existing tap room, Brick Brewery beer, and managing director, Ian Stewart

Brick Brewery, which has been operating out of a railway arch under Peckham Rye Station since 2013, is crowdfunding to extend its tap room.

This year, the brewery has completed its fourth expansion by taking on an additional production site in Deptford, to increase capacity, and it has started building an amazing team of people.

Some of its bigger tanks have been moved from the Peckham site which means there is now internal space to expand the tap room and provide a more accessible space in which to enjoy the Brick beers.

The £20,000 will be spent on bringing the bar inside and building a new bar to increase the number of taps to 20. The scheme will also increase the number of toilets and improve the facilities, with inside seating, a retractable awning outside, space for experimental brewing — with opportunities for the public to get involved — space for exhibitions for local artists and a dedicated food area.

Brick Brewery has always been a community-focused brewery, collaborating with local businesses and creatives whenever possible, with the people of Peckham supporting it since day one.

Managing director, Ian Stewart, said: “This campaign allows you to become part of realising our vision and get something in return. There are some fantastic rewards, like beer subscriptions, tickets to our thank you party, and brew days, to say thank you for pledging and for being a part of our Brick community.”
