Women in Beer founder, Amélie Tassin, has been named Diversity and Inclusivity Champion at this year’s Brewers Choice Awards, announced last week.

The awards celebrate excellence across the UK beer industry, recognising individuals and organisations driving innovation, community, and quality. They are judged panel by a panel with a wealth of expertise, drawn from across the beer community.
Amélie’s award highlights her outstanding contribution to advancing equality, representation, and inclusion within the brewing sector — values at the heart of Women in Beer since its foundation.
“I am extremely grateful to the judges for this award — it means the world to me!” said Amelie.
“Women in Beer is a passion project, a community that has been part of my life for a long time, and I’m so grateful the work I have done for it is being recognised.
“Working on this kind of project is often thankless, and winning an award will definitely keep me going! The work we’re doing with Women in Beer is important, and I am very happy to see that we’re supported by leaders in the beer industry.”
Amélie’s recognition underscores the growing movement towards creating a more inclusive and diverse brewing community. This mission continues through initiatives such as the Women in Beer Awards, which will take place for the first time on 28th October, at Eko Brewery, in London.
The awards celebrate women’s achievements across all facets of the beer and hospitality industries. The shortlist is now live at womeninbeer.co.uk/awards, and tickets are available via Citizen Ticket.
