Mondo Brewing has announced the forthcoming launch of Drama Queen, a beer made by its female staff, on International Women’s Day, 8th March.

Drama teacher Erica Tomlinson, the inspiration behind Drama Queen
It’s a 4.7% ABV New England pale ale, featuring notes of citrus, berry, and tropical flavours, over an easy-drinking, soft body.
Brewed with the eighth annual hop blend from The Pink Boots Society —an organisation that supports women’s education in the beer industry — the beer is both a celebration of women in brewing and a tribute to the spirit of International Women’s Day.
Fifty per cent of the profits from Drama Queen will go to Women & Theatre, a charity dedicated to using performance to address contemporary issues since 1983.
Erica Tomlinson is a drama teacher and the inspiration behind the Drama Queen concept, as designed by Mondo taproom supervisor, Amina. You can read an interview with Erica on the Mondo website.
The beer launch party will take place on International Women’s Day, 8th March, at Battersea Arts Centre, London, from 6pm.
