SALT Beer Factory has unveiled a range of varied Christmas beers, evoking experiences from a refreshing pine woodland walk to an icy-cold winter’s day, and including pudding!
Big Spruce (6.6% ABV) is a West Coast IPA bursting with bright citrus, refreshing pine, and a crisp bite. It has been hopped with Chinook, Centennial, Mosaic, and Citra.
Cold Snap (7.4% ABV) is described as an ice cold IPA. It features Motueka, Nelson Sauvin, and Riwaka hops, with oats and wheat for smoothness.
There are two beers on the dessert menu. Chocolate Caramel Brownie (7.2% ABV) is a pudding stout, hopped with Saaz, with extra pale, chocolate, and caramalts, and maltodextrin and Muscovado sugar giving that sweet richness.
Tiramisu (8% ABV), also a pudding stout, has a similar line-up of ingredients, with the addition of oats and roasted barley. Expect “rich espresso aromas, creamy vanilla, and chocolate decadence”, says SALT.
