Drinkers are being invited to ‘Pick Your Stupid’ as Verdant unveils two new 6.8% ABV IPAs in New England and West Coast variants.

Verdant Stupid

Version four of Big Stupid Westy is packed with Chinook, Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops.

“Expect pine sap, grapefruit, and big resinous aromas to envelop your senses with each gulp,” says Verdant. “An aggressive monster, pungent and bitter.”

Big Stupid Hazy is more laid back, with a tropical fruit punch, a massive mouthfeel, and a smooth, creamy body. It’s packed full of hop products, including new Hyperboost hop oil, as well as T90 cryo added during the dry hop.

Both beers have been ‘hot dipped’. This is where the brewer moves a portion of the hot wort to the fermenter and adds hops (in this case CO2-extracted hop liquid), recirculates, and then knocks out the remainder.

“Basically, moving hop additions downstream to pummel as much flavour into the beer as possible,” says the brewer.
