Goodness Brewing has announced an exclusive launch party to unveil their latest artist-led collaboration cans, partnering with Matt Martin and Benny Payne.
Artists Matt Martin and Benny Payne
Working in collaboration with NOMOQ and the London Craft Beer Festival, the event will take place on Wednesday, July 31st, at Mother Kelly’s, in Bethnal Green, London.
Artist Matt Martin designed one edition of the can with the Goodness Brewery team using an anaglyph technique. The is a three-dimensional effect achieved by means of encoding each eye’s image using filters of different colours, typically red and cyan when a user wears special 3D glasses.
Benny Payne created the second edition and represented what is inside the can in a flavourful fresh innovative beer. Benny’s signature fruit and bird motifs splashed across a gleaming mirrored surface incapsulate the beer’s flavour, as described to him by Goodness head brewer Josh Billington.
NOMOQ’s cutting-edge technology has played a pivotal role in bringing these collaborative visions to life. Konstantin Schwarzkopf, head of design, at NOMOQ, said: “Our mission is to empower brands and breweries to explore the full potential of NOMOQ’s technology. Always for NOMOQ, brands are the artists, transforming the craft beer world into a more colorful and dynamic space.
“We offer more than just an alternative to labels. We provide a blank canvas for extraordinary brand opportunities. We work closely with the artists to incorporate nearly all of our technological elements, including 3D and textured designs.”
Head of brand at Goodness Brewery, Elaine Robertson, added: “This event will be the first time anyone sees the can designs, and we are really excited to reveal them. Unlike the traditional model of commissioning an artist then taking them out of the product design stage, we wanted our artists involved and contributing at all stages, ensuring the final product is a true representation of their work.
“NOMOQ worked alongside the artists and the creative team at The Goodness to take original art from 2D to 3D, keeping the texture and integrity of the mediums the work was created with. NOMOQ’s printed process pushes these cans beyond just function into a truly unique object to be kept and treasured long after the beer has been enjoyed.”
Greg Wells, co-founder of We Are Beer, said: “We are proud of this partnership and celebratory launch as we gear up for London Craft Beer Festival on 9th and 10th August.
“Join us for an evening of innovation, creativity, and community spirit. Celebrate with us as we showcase the incredible talents of the artists and the limitless possibilities of NOMOQ’s technology.”
