Steady Rolling Man, a pale ale from DEYA, heads the Top 50 UK Beer Awards, a list compiled by craft beer festival organiser and industry specialist We Are Beer.

The 5.2% ABV beer, made in Cheltenham, is described as “incredibly soft and delicate with intense tropical fruit hop aromatics”. It gained the most votes from a panel of 150 beer experts.
“We wanted to create an award that celebrated all beer styles and in which brewers big and small could compete on an equal stage,” said We Are Beer co-founder Greg Wells.
We created a panel of esteemed experts from across the industry and the voting process is as simple and transparent as possible.
“Steady Rolling Man is a truly excellent beer and fully deserves its spot at the top of the table. We hope this award prompts even more people to try it and propels the beer to even greater success.”
A panel of judges, comprising brewers, retailers, and journalists, were invited to vote on their favourite beer. In order to register a vote, the judge had to have tasted the beer within the last 12 months, it had to be brewed in the UK, and guest beers could not be nominated.
DEYA Brewing Company’s co-owner, Theo Freyne, said: “Steady Rolling Man is the first beer we brewed at DEYA and it remains our most important and potentially most delicious beer.
“We are so thankful that Steady has become a go-to beer for so many people — cheers to all our lovely customers! Ten years of Steady next year…”
