Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone Brewery has been named as one of the fastest-growing businesses in the country in a Sunday Times survey.
Hawkstone is ranked 24th on The Sunday Times Hundred list with sales of £7.8m in its last financial year, up 143% compared to the previous year.
Hawkstone was born from the former Cotswold Brewery Company, set up by Richard and Emma Keene in 2004. They sold a significant stake to Clarkson and entrepreneur Johnny Hornby in 2021. Richard remains a shareholder, but Emma has now left the business.
Now Clarkson is looking to boost drinks sales closer to home with the purchase of a local pub, The Windmill, at Burford, in Oxfordshire.
The plan is very much for a homely, community pub, selling pub grub and featuring darts and bar biliards.
