Butcombe Brewing Co has been announced as the sole supplier of beer at this year’s Chalke History Festival, at Broad Chalke, near Salisbury.
The event, billed as “the biggest, most celebrated history festival in the world”, runs from 24th to 30th June.
History buffs will be able to enjoy the classic Butcombe Original, craft lager Underfall, Ashton Press Cider, and the new Tall Tales Pale Ale. For those looking for a non-alcoholic option, the multi award-winning Goram IPA Zero will also be available.
“We’re delighted to be ‘making history’ at our inaugural Chalke History Festival,” said Simon Dehany, brand manager at Butcombe Brewing Co.
“We are passionate about supporting local creative initiatives and events, so this incredible festival is a great fit. From our historic Butcombe Original to our new exciting Tall Tales Pale Ale, that has been going down a storm in our pubs, we’ve got something for everyone to enjoy.”
A number of big household names — including Sebastian Faulks, The Rest Is History duo Tom Holland and Dominic Sandbrook, Michael Wood, Bettany Hughes, musician and record producer Jakko Jakszyk, and Sathnam Sanghera — are confirmed in the programme, as well as a greater number of international speakers and experts this year.
