Brew York has collaborated with former professional footballer Chris Kamara on a lager which will raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Kammy’s Un-Beer-Lievable is being launched to tie in with the Euros 2024 football tournament and is described as light and refreshing with a crisp finish.

“It’s an honour for Brew York to partner with Chris Kamara and Prostate Cancer UK on this project,” said brewery co-founder Wayne Smith.

“We hope this beer unites the football and craft beer communities, allowing us to raise as much as possible for such an incredible cause.”

Chris, also known for his legendary punditry on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, said: “My own lager, now that’s unbelievable! Thankfully I didn’t brew it, Brew York did.

“Let’s enjoy it responsibly during this summer of football and raise some money for Prostate UK at the same time.” The charity will get 10p (plus VAT) from every sale of the beer.

It will be available from next Tuesday, 11th June, on the Brew York web store and at all the brewery’s venues. The beer will also be available in bars, pubs, and venues across the UK.

To celebrate the launch, Brew York is hosting an exclusive event with Chris Kamara at Coopers Bar & Kitchen, in Guiseley, on Tuesday, 18th June. Guests can enjoy the Euro 2024 match between Turkey and Georgia while savouring a complimentary pint of Kammy’s Un-Beer-Lievable lager with the man himself. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK.
