Newcastle-based Hadrian Border Brewery has announced the full details of its 30th anniversary beer festival, from 7th-9th June.

Hadrian beer festival

Owners Andy and Shona Burrows, along with the dedicated Hadrian Border team, will host a weekend filled with their award-winning beers, along with a selection from their favourite breweries. There will also be street food and live music.

A large marquee will be set up outside the brewery, featuring a bar serving a diverse range of cask and keg beers. A token system will be in place for beer purchases, with both cash and card payments accepted for buying tokens.

“We feel incredibly privileged to have reached this milestone with the support of the people of Newcastle,” said Shona. “We try to repay that support with our community engagement through raffle prizes, charity ales, and backing local sports clubs, such as Seaton Burn, Benwell and Wallbottle, and Corbridge cricket clubs.

“We also have significant relationships with The Blaydon Race and our local CAMRA beer festival. Historically, our first major sponsorship was the Tyne Tunnel 2K Wheelchair Race.”

The festival will showcase the best of UK beers, focusing on those brewed locally.

Shona added: “The contribution of local breweries to the job market, their communities, and the local economy is immense. We’ll have a variety of beers, including traditional ales and modern hoppy, hazy craft kegs. Many of these beers aren’t usually available in Newcastle, so bringing them together under one marquee is fantastic.”
