BrewFest is coming to the Red Lion is Market Drayton, showcasing top live music and sponsored by Joule’s Brewery’s Green Monkey Lager.
The festival will kick off with a ‘Warm Up Weekend’ on 4th and 5th May, followed by the main event on 25th and 26th May.
The first weekend will feature TNT, Sam Morgan, The Unlawful Men, and The Ronaldos. BrewFest Weekend will showcase the Delta Aces, Lotus Motion, JMD, Si Alton, Doctor’s Orders, The Jooks, Nibbs and Chrisbee, and The June Collins Band, with more acts still to be announced.
“There is a passion and precedent for live music in Market Drayton, formerly the home of the Rock & Bowl festival, which was sponsored by Joules Brewery,” said Red Lion general manager Trevor Dawson.
“And this year we’re proud to be hosting our very own free-to-attend music festival in the grounds of The Red Lion and brewery, before we commence our development plans at the Stag, brewery, and Red Lion.”
“The Stag will include an events venue for all occasions, and will also provide the new space for the Drayton Civic Society and Market Drayton Museum.”
The Red Lion hosts live music every Friday. This year this year this is being extended to include additional dates throughout the summer, as well as the two upcoming weekends.
A highlight of BrewFest Weekend will be the special appearance of Joule’s Brewery’s iconic Green Monkey Bus, which will be serving up Green Monkey Lager straight from the tank.
