Hull smart technology company Veribli Ltd has joined forces with Atom Brewing Co to create what is thought to be the world’s first Smart Beer Pump.
This allows drinkers in pubs and bars to tap a pumpclip with their mobile phone and have detailed content delivered about that beer, including how it was produced and its tasting notes, sent directly to their device.
The Smart Beer Pump will allow microbreweries to connect with customers who enjoy their beer, engage with them, and build a community around their beer. Atom will be rolling this new technology out to pubs and bars over the next few weeks.
Veribli is a platform which allows brands to easily implement technology to create smart products, smart packaging, and interactive point of sale.
“We believe that the Smart Beer Pump technology we have created will allow smaller producers to compete against the big brands without the big brand marketing budgets,” said MattHouldsworth, chief executive and founder of Veribli Ltd.
“The engagement platform that backs up the smart technology within the pumps allows brands to engage with their customers and create communities around their unique offerings. This product is going to disrupt the market and allow the likes of Atom to play on the same stage as the big brands.”
Allan Rice, co-founder of Atom Brewing Co, said: “At Atom, we like to focus on transparency, simplicity, and education. We love the science and education behind brewing and sharing that with our customers in such an easy-to-use manner is something that we believe our drinkers will love.”
