The Five Points Group, the London-based independent craft brewery and pub company, has announced trading results for 2023, along with expansion plans.

Five Points Brewing

Total consolidated net sales across the business were £4.68 million for the year ending December 2023. Sales at the brewing company were up by 17% to £3.53m, while sales at its East London pub The Pembury Tavern were up by 23% to more than £1m. Draft consolidated EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) for the group was £297,000.

“Despite facing challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost of living and utilities crises, Five Points Brewing has demonstrated resilience and achieved significant growth in 2023,” said co-founder and chief executive Ed Mason.

“We are incredibly proud of the brand that we and our investors have built over the past 11 years. Our continued growth is a testament to the strength of our brand and the dedication of our fantastic team across our brewery, taproom, and The Pembury Tavern.”

Looking ahead, Five Points has announced plans for expansion, to increase brewing capacity, and the opening of new pubs. The company views the expansion of its pub estate as a crucial part of its growth strategy, with The Pembury Tavern serving as a model for additional sites.

To support its plans, Five Points is launching a funding round, led by founders and existing investors. The campaign will raise investment for additional brewing capacity, production efficiencies, expansion of current taproom and courtyard premises, and the acquisition of new pub sites.

Investors will benefit from a range of rewards, including lifetime discounts online and at current and future venues, bar tab incentives, exclusive events, free brewery tours, and more.

Ed said: “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for Five Points Brewing. With the support of our investors and community, and an emphasis on quality and accessible beers, we are confident in our ability to continue our growth and further establish ourselves as a leading player in the craft beer industry.”
