The Wrexham Lager Beer Co, the oldest lager brewery in Britain, has unveiled a major brand refresh across its range, and new product formats.
The refresh comes at an exciting time for the award-winning brewer, with the spotlight on the town since the launch of Welcome to Wrexham on Disney+. This has helped to deliver incremental growth for the business.
Building on its rich heritage, but with a contemporary twist, the brand refresh includes a bold and simplified logo, and an evolved colour palette and iconography. There is also new labelling, new lifestyle and product photography, and complete modernisation of key marketing items.
The brewery is also extending its refresh across a new 440ml can format for both its Lager and Export beers.
“This is a major step in the brand’s next phase of growth and businesses development, and we believe it will have a significant impact across our current and prospective routes to market,” said Wrexham Lager Beer Co chief executive, James Wright.
“We’re creating a consistent brand which we can build on across all territories around the world, utilising our fantastic history.
“The lager market in the UK is dominated by international beers, particularly European, and as a proudly Welsh lager, produced by the oldest brewery in the UK, we believe the quality of our products and new identity can help to strengthen the UK’s offering.”
