Newly-launched Froth Distribution has secured the licence to exclusively produce and distribute Stone & Wood Pacific Ale draught beer in the UK and Ireland.

Stone & Wood UK brand ambassadors, Ryan Meade and Cale Watts, struck the deal with Lion, the owner of Stone & Wood. They will operate under the Froth Distribution name.
In the early days of Stone & Wood’s UK operation, Pacific Ale was exported to the UK from its home in Byron Bay. But, in 2019, Lion expanded the operation and began brewing locally at Thornbridge Brewery in Derbyshire. The new deal will see it continue to be produced there, now under Froth’s stewardship.
“Today marks an exciting day in the Stone & Wood UK story,” said Cale Watts. “Ryan and I are delighted to be partnering with Lion to ensure that Pacific Ale draught beer will be available in the UK and Ireland.”
“For us to launch Froth, it was essential to keep producing Pacific Ale draught beer with Thornbridge, because quality is paramount. We have a great relationship with them, as we do with our logistics partners, who are also on board. Everything will continue as it has been for the past seven years.”
Lion also expressed its gratitude to Ryan and Cale for maintaining Stone & Wood’s brand values in the UK.
“We have what we consider to be the best beer to ever come out of Australia, and a great story to go with it,” said Ryan.
In addition to Stone & Wood Pacific Ale, Froth Distribution also plans to curate a small distribution portfolio of premium breweries and brands.
Ryan said: “There’s one guiding principle to how Froth operates, and it’s that Cale and I both need to love the product — it’s as simple as that. We don’t want to have a huge list of beers for the sake of it. We want to be able to offer drinks that we are passionate about as that is what we believe our customers will buy into.
“We want to thank Lion for trusting us with this venture, and for recognising that our customer service and passion has been integral growing the brand into what it is today.”
