Liberation Group has announced three key internal appointments as it looks to further develop its food and drink offering.
Left to right: Ollie Fleming, Alice Bowyer, and Fred Vanderplank
Alice Bowyer has been promoted to director of food. Since joining the company in 2016, she has transformed the reputation of Liberation Group’s food offering and elevated it to best in class, culminating in winning the Publican Award for best premium food offer.
Working closely with her team, Alice has continued to innovate and work with some of the best suppliers in the country. She delivers an offering that aligns with her passion for always supporting local and seasonal food.
Fred Vanderplank has moved into a newly-created sales and commercial director role, which combines his current responsibility for Liberation Group’s overall drinks contracts with leading Butcombe’s drinks sales team. In his six years with the business Fred has a proven strong track record of driving sales while developing long-lasting supplier relationships and winning new contracts.
Following the substantial growth of Butcombe’s free trade sales over the last five years, and to support the continued ambition to drive further sales and relationships, Ollie Fleming has been appointed head of free trade in the UK.
In his 12 years with Butcombe, Ollie has had a successful track record of continually delivering sales growth. This new role will allow Ollie and his team to further build on their successes and to strengthen its delivery of growth of beers such as Butcombe Original, Tall Tales Pale Ale, and Goram IPA Zero.
“We have achieved a lot over the last five years, and all three of these individuals have been integral to this success,” said Liberation Group managing director, pubs and inns, Jayson Perfect.
“We have strong ambitions and plans to continue to grow our business. and we’re looking forward to a successful new year, with these three helping us to bring our exciting plans and ambitions to fruition.”
