The couple behind Dovedale Brewing Company, near Ashbourne, in Derbyshire, have announced their retirement and closed the business.
“Just to let you know that we’ve decided it’s now time to hang up our overalls, take life a little easier, and enjoy a well earned retirement from brewing,” said John and Andi Clarke, on social media.
“We’re staying right here, though, and still running our holiday cottage business from the farm.
“We have loved every minute of our journey setting up Dovedale Brewing Company, which has far exceeded our expectations of where we thought it would take us.
“We’ve made some great friends, weathered some difficult times, and are very proud to have brewed some award-winning beers!
“A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us in our journey, and we look forward to seeing you all out and about.”
