Bristol Beer Factory has given its first update on its Brewed to Give scheme, designed to boost its commitment to its local community.

BBF Brewed Give Bar

Brewed to Give is a self-imposed tax of 2% on total brewery sales which Bristol Beer Factory invests in groups uplifting people or places across Bristol.

For this first year of the initiative, the brewery has promised to invest £80,000 of stock, space, a direct support.

From 1st May until 31st July 2023, the brewer invested £22,753 of stock, space, and direct support to 58 charities, groups, and good causes across Bristol. With a bit of guidance and use of our equipment, this was converted into £52,166 of unrestricted funds, to be kept entirely by the community.

This money is now funding vital community services, from primary school play equipment, subsidised sporting activities for young people from deprived areas, cooking classes for asylum seekers and refugees, and mental health therapies for men, to care and support for people with terminal illnesses.
