After releasing its first carbon negative beer, Gipsy Hill Brewing Co is now creating a series of carbon negative collaboration brews.

Gipsy Hill Carbon Negative

The collaborators and the beers will be as follows.

  • Cloudwater Brew Co: Precipitator (8% ABV). A double IPA — -223gCO2e pint, -0.07kg CO2e per can. Loaded with tropical fruit flavour.
  • Verdant Brewing Co: Inked (7% ABV). A West Coast IPA — -301g CO2e per pint, -0.09kg CO2E per can. Smooth and malty, with layers of pine and citrus.
  • North Brewing Co: Glider (6% ABV). A blackcurrant sour — -284g CO2e per pint, -0.06kg CO2E per can. A sweet and sour medley bursting with blackcurrant.
  • Amundsen Brewery: Noice (7.5% ABV). An imperial stout — -682g CO2E per pint, -0.33kg CO2E per can. Rich and robust with a splash of freshly-roasted coffee.

The full cradle-to-grave life cycle for kegs and cans has been carbon accounted by Zevero. This includes growing the ingredients, brewing, packaging, delivery to homes, pubs, or bottleshops, and recycling the cans.

The Carbon Negative Collab Series launches on Gipsy Hill’s online shop on Thursday, 5th October. There will also be a series of tap takeovers:

  • 6th October: The Understudy, Kerb National Theatre, 5pm
  • 6th October: The Gipsy Hill Taproom, 5pm
  • 12th October: Three Hounds Bottle Shop, 5pm.
