The Warehouse, in Setchey, Norfolk, is to host a charity quiz, pizza, and pints night to boost brewer David Holliday’s big charity beer barrel push.

David undertook his first push last year, guiding a 75kg barrel of Moon Gazer ale more than 140 miles from Norfolk to St Bart’s Hospital, in London.

He raised a huge £22,000 for It’s On The Ball, a testicular cancer charity. Due to this tremendous effort, Moon Gazer was recognised as a finalist in the SIBA Business Awards, in the community engagement category.

Beer Push 2023 will see the barrel of Moon Gazer ale travel across Norfolk, completing the equivalent distance of seven marathons in seven days. Each day will end at seven different pubs, which will each host evening events. The Warehouse will be stop number six.

The Warehouse will be adding a twist to its already popular Friday night pizza and pint night by hosting a charity quiz for David. The charity quiz, which is optional, will be £4 to enter, with a maximum od six in a team.

There will be some fantastic beer prizes to be won. There will also be a raffle, with many prizes donated by local suppliers.

“We are thrilled to be hosting this exciting event for David from Moon Gazer brewery,” said The Warehouse marketing manager, Amanda Waterfield. “David’s previous fundraising efforts have been truly inspiring, and we are proud to be a part of his Beer Push 2023 initiative.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together for a night of fun and charity, all while enjoying delicious beer and food pairings. I encourage everyone to join us on 6th October for what promises to be an unforgettable evening.”

Tickets for the event can be booked here.
