Just days after it was sold by Marston’s for development, the famous Crooked House pub, Dudley, has been engulfed by fire.

The fire was reported at about 10pm yesterday evening (Saturday). Flames could be seen for miles around as firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control. They remain at the scene this morning. The building is said to be completely destroyed.
Marston’s announced that the pub had been sold to a private buyer on 27th July. Two days later a petition was created on change.org to campaign to keep the property as a pub.
