Manchester-based Balance Brewing & Blending has announced that it will be opening its taproom for the first time on Saturday, 12th August.

After moving into Unit 10 on Sheffield Street last December, Balance has been busy brewing and filling barrels, as well as putting things in place for the taproom.
The brewery has enlisted the design and fit-out expertise of On The Brink Studio, based in Stockport, to put together a welcoming space. It takes inspiration from traditional, cosy pubs, and Belgian beer bars. It’ll be finished with clean lines, white oak, and modern finesse, against a wonderful backdrop of slumbering barrels.
The taproom will be open every Saturday from noon until 10pm for the rest of this year, with the occasional special event during the week. It will specialise in barrel-fermented, mixed-culture beers, showcasing own products and also bringing visitors the best beers in this style from the rest of the UK.
“Our tap list will be made up entirely of mixed fermentation wild ales, with a fairly small but carefully selected range of beers from some of the best mixed fermentation and spontaneous breweries in the country,” said the brewer.
“We have chosen to keep the menu focused on British produce, with a small but thoughtful selection of wines, natural of course, as well as pale and lager offerings from our favourite British breweries.
“With the capacity for up to 80 people in the taproom, we want to build a community of passionate and friendly people, with a focus on savouring the moment and enjoying beers in a welcoming and inclusive environment.”
