The brewery, assets, and brand of Southampton-based Unity Brewing Ltd have been purchased by two local businessmen who intend to resurrect the business as Unity Brewery Ltd.

Sources say that previous owner James Hatherley will not be involved in the new company at all. Since the collapse of Unity Brewing he has taken on running and building the Good Libations venue.
On social media, the brewer said: “We will be using the same recipes, the same beers, and the same brand developed by James and other wonderful Unity alumni over the years. We will be brewing and bringing back all the favourites, especially Conflux!
“All with a view to making the brewery economically viable and secure for the future. We will do this whilst acknowledging the efforts of every person who has worked here since 2016 to make Unity what it is, what it was, and what it can be in the future.”
All full-time staff below the former directorship have been invited back. Rob will stay brewing and become head brewer. Adam will be Rob’s assistant and will be learning to become a brewer under Rob’s expert guidance, as well as delivering beer. Connie will be returning as taproom manager, sales admin, and packaging assistant, and Bolo returns to his former post as operations manager.
