BrewDog has partnered with mental health and wellbeing experts Happence to roll out a mental health and wellbeing platform to its 3,000 staff worldwide.

BrewDog Blueprint

The platform has been built by industry experts, including psychologists, cognitive behavioural therapists, and neuroscientists, to nurture happier and healthier teams.

Under the new partnership, BrewDog staff will be able to sign up to the flexible app, providing them with solutions that inspire action across every wellness dimension, from sleep and rest through to thoughts and emotions.

The personalised programme allows staff to start, pause and continue their wellbeing journey, with tangible measurements allowing individuals to track their progress, so they can see improvements in their mood and motivation over time.

Happence was founded in 2015 by Dr Stephen Pereira, a clinically trained psychiatrist with more than 37 years of experience working in psychiatry for the NHS and private practice.

Since launching the new blueprint to celebrate BrewDog’s 15-year anniversary, which set out new rewards, including a £100 million share scheme for salaried staff and 50% bar profit share scheme, BrewDog has seen a surge in job applications. It added 700 members of staff in 2022.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to launch this pioneering programme to every crew member all over the world,” said Karen Bates, group people director at BrewDog.

“Happence are world leaders in enhancing workplace wellbeing through the science of happiness, and the platform has proven to help workforces and teams remain healthy and resilient.

“This is one of many investments we have made across our HR, people, and culture teams under our new blueprint, and we are immensely proud that we now have 149 trained mental health aiders within the business.”
