“We’re constantly working on being an inclusive brewery and somewhere everyone can enjoy beautiful beer, no matter their sexual orientation or gender expression,” says the brewer. “That’s why we decided to host a range of events and fundraisers to support the LGBTQIA+ community in our Old Market Taproom.”
On Sunday, the Bristol Drag Collective will bring their family-friendly drag bingo fun and games to the taproom for a huge festive celebration. Expect festive outfits from two of Bristol’s finest performers. Fancy dress is encouraged for visitors, too. The bingo takes place between 3pm and 5pm.
In November, Wiper and True launched Football For Good, a lager from which 100% of the profits would be donated to Rainbow Laces, a Stonewall initiative which works to improve inclusion, access and visibility in sports for LGBTQIA+ people.
“We raised £500 for Rainbow Laces,” said the brewer. “In December, we’re raising money for Brigstowe, whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for people living with HIV, and other long-term health conditions. You can read about our charity partners here.
