As colder days start to bite, Bristol’s Moor Beer Co has revisited and updated some old favourites from its portfolio.

Envy (4.2% ABV) is the annual fresh-hop ale. “This is the beer that connects us with the earth and the wonderful people that farm it,” says the brewer.
“Our brewers went up to Ledbury early morning to pick some perfect-looking Challenger cones on Townend Farm, and then add them to the brew a couple of hours later. We use ten times the normal mass of hops for a 4.2% pale, which gives the beer a fabulous herbal aroma and flavour.”
Steady Walker (4.8% ABV) is a collaboration with Welsh beer vlogger Simon Martin. He visited the brewery to create a more sessionable version of Moor’s cult classic strong brew Old Freddy Walker. There’s a video of the brew day here.
A treat from the Moor vault is a two-year-old Calvados barrel-aged Old Ale, coming in at 8% ABV. It’s described as “the perfect beer to drink by the fire at the end of the evening.
Envy will be available in cask and can, Steady Walker will be in cask, keg, and can, while Calvados Old Ale is in 375ml bottles.
