London-based authentic German brewery, German Kraft, is to host an Oktoberfest celebration stretching across four weekends.
Following last year’s success, Kraft is going bigger this year, with a programme from 23rd September to 16th October across its three locations.
There are events at Elephant and Castle from 23rd to 25th September and 7th-9th October. Located inside the giant food and drink market Mercato Metropolitano, this will be a big crowd-pleaser festival, with German sausages and pretzels, and more than 12 craft beers served in one-litre steins.
If you still want authentic german craft beer, but prefer a family atmosphere, head to Mayfair from 30th September until 2nd October. There will be a full meal and drink package with reserved seating in the crypt. Or you can just enjoy steins in the unique church setting at Mercato Mayfair.
For a bit of tradition with a twist, visit Kraft Dalston from 14th-16th October where visitors can combine unusual Korean food with German beer fresh from the tank. This includes festival specials Amber Oktoberfest Lager and Dry Hopped Doppel Pils. The soundtrack will go from German classics from the ’80s turning into German techno in the evening.
Alle events are free and you can walk in without booking. Beers will also be served in pints, half-pints, or one-third pint tasting flights. There will also be signature cocktails and gin and tonics made by Kraft’s own distillery.
