Anspach & Hobday is celebrating a milestone with its nitro porter, London Black, being poured from more than 100 lines in bars across the UK.
Now the brewer’s best selling beer, London Black ensures more consumer choice and provides an independent, locally brewed craft alternative to market-leading macro stouts.
The beer takes inspiration from Anspach & Hobday’s The Porter. The resulting creaminess and smooth mouthfeel from the nitro treatment balance perfectly with the subtle roasted notes of coffee and chocolate.
Jack Hobday, co-founder of Anspach & Hobday, said: “The whole team at Anspach & Hobday are thrilled with the reception of this beer and proud of the support from our publicans and patrons. It’s a real success story following our crowdfund last year, centred around backing this beer. Autumn looks set to be very busy indeed.”
As the brewery continues to install lines of London Black for publicans, an upcoming kit expansion could not have come at a better time. With autumn on the way, more drinkers will be contemplating darker beers.
From Newton Abbot to Glasgow, London Black has nationwide coverage. You can find your nearest pint using this interactive map which, as of today, has been viewed more than 78,000 times.
