Black Sheep Brewery is launching a new bottled black IPA, Cry Wolf. The 5% ABV brew will be available exclusively in Tesco stores.
Inspired by the Cry Wolf fable, the beer is brewed with black malt, chocolate malt and flaked oats. It is hopped with Cascade, Columbus, Citra, and Chinook.
The taste of Cry Wolf has been described as a fierce bite of roasted malt fused with the gnarly, tropical bitterness of new world hops.
Black Sheep’s head of sales and marketing, Johnny Kirkham, said: “The ‘wolf’ is a big step in our innovation plans for our PBA (premium bottled ale) portfolio of brands.
“It’s a juicy IPA made with North American hops, making for a tasty, refreshing, and forward-thinking beer, perfect for any occasion.”
The beer hits Tesco shelves on 6th June.
