Alcohol-free brewer Lucky Saint has launched two partnerships with communities and charities that aim to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide prevention.

Lucky Saint mental health

The first partnership, with Beder, marks the beginning of a series of events and activations throughout the year. Lucky Saint will be supporting the essential work Beder is doing to champion good mental health, utilising the power of connection and bringing people together. Set up in 2018, Beder builds communities of like-minded people, and encourages social connection through unique events and initiatives.

The second partnership is with ASCND, a cycling community also aiming to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention. Lucky Saint will provide quarterly courses to ASCND ride leaders via Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England practitioner Harry Corin. He will equip riders with the skills to identify, understand, and help someone potentially experiencing a mental health issue.

This partnership is the first extension of Lucky Saint’s mission to support MHFA England’s goal of training 10% of the UK’s workforce with mental health first aid skills. It kicked off the campaign in 2021, focusing on the hospitality sector.

Luke Boase, founder of Lucky Saint, said: “Everything we do at Lucky Saint ties back to the belief that the greatest reward of drinking is the social connection.

“We at Lucky Saint, along with the fantastic team from ASCND, believe that the power of talking and connecting is one of the most powerful ways to help people. We can’t wait to support hundreds of people in helping many, many more.”
