Newtown Park Brewing Co and Verdant Brewing Co are opening a collaborative taproom enhancing an already thriving Bristol beer scene.
Newtown Park have successfully made a name for themselves in Bristol and further afield since buying Left Handed Giant’s former brewery during the pandemic, and launching their first beers in December 2020.
Their focus is on modern beers, with taste and quality being paramount, but with an aim to make their beer accessible to newcomers and craft beer enthusiasts alike.
Verdant began life back in autumn 2014 when home-brewers Adam and James teamed up with Rich to craft US-inspired beers that weren’t available locally. Over the past few years, they have become synonymous with hop-forward beer styles, such as pale ale, India pale ale, and double IPA. They rank in the Ratebeer top 100 breweries in the world.
Drinkers can expect a cosy atmosphere, and ten lines of beer split between Verdant and Newtown Park, featuring the freshest offerings each week. There will also be a fridge full of cans.
For the non-beer drinker, there will be a selection from a fantastic line-up of local suppliers. The same goes for the food offering, which will be on rotation throughout the year. Expect to see the Verdant Seafood Bar Ambulance make an appearance at some point.
Bristol has a thriving beer scene, with some 15 craft breweries around the city. In five months, Newtown Park have already established themselves amongt Bristol’s finest.
Adam Robertson, from Verdant, said: “Macca and I have been friends for many years, and when he told me about launching Newtown Park in Bristol, I knew there would be an opportunity for us to work together.
“We had been thinking about Bristol for some time, given its prominence in the scene, and we didn’t hesitate at the chance to open this taproom together.”
