Alcohol-free, sustainable beer brand Freestar has launched a free mentoring hotline to help support young job-seekers.
Those who sign up are partnered with an industry expert from leading brands, such as Propercorn, Tesla UK, the BBC, and Deloitte. Chris Watt, director of digital publishing at Adidas, has recently signed-up as a mentor.
Every Friday afternoon between 3pm and 5pm, young people can book in a 30-minute one-to-one free video session with an industry expert in the field of work they’re interested in. Mentors will provide industry advice, offer interview prep, and job application tactics. The hotline has already mentored more than 50 young people, with many arranging regular catch-up calls with their mentor.
All young people need to do is drop Freestar a WhatsApp on 07783216481, including their name, what area of work they’re interested in, and what career challenges they’re currently facing, or fill in and submit this form. There’s more information here, too.
Felix von Hurter, co-founder of Freestar, said: “At Freestar, we’re all about championing the next generation, so supporting young people and helping them to upskill and access potential job opportunities is a no-brainer for us. Now, more than ever, a lot of young people feel that the odds are stacked against them. We want our mentoring hotline to help reignite their ambition and confidence, because they’re the future.”
