Norfolk’s Duration Brewing is to continue its popular online tours throughout the winter, no matter what the weather or local lockdown restrictions.

Co-founder, Miranda Hudon, said: “Our online tours have become a wonderful way to be together while apart, or to help those still shielding or in localised lockdowns. The premise is that people order a tour box and get the beers delivered in time for the event, when we all come together and look around the brewery and drink together.
“We essentially webcast the tour and use a Q&A chat to interact during the tutored tasting. Informal, relaxed, and great for those out there that can’t physically make it out to the brewery with beer we ship to your doorstep.
“We’ve had three generations of families come together from different parts of the country, and they have made a great gift option. What says relaxation more than coming together to enjoy a beer together, even if the usual pub model is a little hindered at the moment?
“It was a saving grace for us while the pubs were closed to support online sales and build awareness of our new Norfolk brewhouse that is already a destination point on the craft beer aficionadoes circuit. People love meeting the founders and getting a personal tour from the comfort of home, with beers delivered cold from our fridge to theirs.”
For £25, online tour shoppers get four 440ml cans of fresh beer and a notebook delivered to their door in good time for the tour, and instructions on how to join the live and interactive event delivered to their inbox upon purchase.
They will get to enjoy a 60-minute experience, including a tour around Duration’s state-of-the-art brewery from Braukon, in Germany, before they sit down with the founders for a tutored tasting in their wood division.
The beers included in October’s box are Doses, German Pilsner, 4.5% ABV; You End Up Where You Were, table pale, 3% ABV; Shifting Baseline, pale ale, 5%; and Turtles All The Way Down, American pale ale, 5.5%.
