The Brewers Association, the not-for-profit trade association representing small and independent American craft brewers, is hosting a virtual American craft beer tasting at the Red (On)Lion, the Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) online pub.

The tasting is free to enter via CAMRA’s social media channels (for instance, @camra_official on Twitter). To be in with a chance of winning, simply nominate a ‘lockdown hero’ — someone who has gone the extra mile during the lockdown — and the reason why, using the hashtag #PullingTogether.

Successful entries will receive the following fabulous American craft beers free of charge: Well Earned Pilsner, from The Bronx Brewery; Rogue Ales‘ Honey Kölsch; One-Y IPA, from Oskar Blues Brewery; and Essential Pale Ale, from Port City Brewing Co. They will be asked to purchase the fifith beer — Sierra Nevada’s classic Pale Ale — as it’s widely available.

BA Lotte Peplow

Lotte Peplow (pictured), the Brewers Association’s American Craft Beer Ambassador for Europe, will lead the tasting, at 6pm on Tuesday, 12th May, and the deadline to enter is this Friday, 1st May.

A certified cicerone, beer sommelier, and American craft beer guru, Lotte will talk participants through the flavours, styles, and brewing techniques of the beers, while throwing in snippets of American craft beer history and knowledge.
