Deal: Martin Ingham, chief executive of the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, and Joe Parks, sales director at Greene King Brewing and Brands

Greene King Brewing and Brands is to become the pouring rights partner for the 10,000 capacity Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.

Martin Ingham, chief executive of the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Greene King will be our pouring rights partner for the next seven years.

“We have enjoyed a thoroughly constructive and rewarding partnership with Greene King over the last ten years, and since bringing the catering provision in-house last summer, thanks to Greene King’s support, we have continually broken our own sales records at our arena events.

“We held a thorough and highly competitive tender process, and Greene King were a clear winner in terms of their partnership approach to growing the business to mutual benefit. They have clearly convinced our team of their desire and ability to give our customers a wide range of quality products, with the technology and infrastructure to deliver these efficiently.”

The arena will work with Greene King to develop a customer engagement programme, focusing on cross promotions and competitions via the Arena’s digital channels.

Joe Parks, sales director at Greene King Brewing and Brands, said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded this new contract and continuation of the successful longstanding partnership we have shared with Motorpoint Arena Nottingham over the past ten years.

“Maintaining a fresh approach and bringing creativity to the partnership has always been important to Greene King, and we look forward to working with the team at Motorpoint Arena to deliver quality bespoke ranges, infrastructure innovation and engaging promotions in the future.”
