Shoppers can now stock up on Glamorgan Brewing Company favourites, with Tesco stocking three of its products in 37 stores across Wales.
It’s the first time the Llantrisant-based brewery has worked with Tesco, joining a host of famous brewing names in the beer aisles of the supermarket chain.
The three lines — Glamorgan Cwrw Gorslas, Glamorgan Welsh Pale Ale and Jemima’s Pitchfork — will be sold in 500ml bottles.
Managing director, Richard Anstee, said: “We’ve been working hard at our brewery in Llantrisant to bring the best of Welsh beer to our customers, who are always asking when it will be more readily available to buy. Now they can buy our premium Welsh beer from stores close to home, and it’s a massive achievement for us.
“As we continue to grow our company, with exciting plans to come over the next few months and years, we’ll continue to produce excellent Welsh beer. It’s what we do, it’s where we’re from.”
Tesco’s local buying manager for Wales, James Lamont, said: “We know that our Welsh consumers are becoming increasingly discerning when it comes to beer, and want to be able to purchase high-quality local ales at their nearest Tesco supermarket.
“It is great to be able to add Glamorgan to the roll-call of Welsh breweries that Tesco works with in Wales, and we believe that their products will prove popular with our customers, many of whom may be buying their beers for the first time.”
