BrewDog Elvis

What do you do when you’be brewed a beer, called it Elvis Juice and the estate of Elvis Presley takes umbrage and sets its lawyers on you?

When you’re BrewDog founders James Watt and Martin Dickie, you decide to change your names, by deed poll, to Elvis!

Martin said: “We would like to recommend that Presley’s estate diverts its attention to another potential source of quick remuneration: a brewery that calls itself ‘The King’ of beer.”

Presley’s estate says that BrewDog does not have ownership rights over the name Elvis and says it intends to sue the Scottish brewery.

BrewDog says the claim is “baseless litigation”.
