It’s nearly time to celebrate the 11th anniversary of Beer Day Britain (and Beer Day Northern Ireland, taking place on 15th June.

Beer Day Britain 2026

This year, it falls on a Monday, a typically quiet day for pubs. Event founder Jane Peyton is encouraging everyone to visit their favourite pub to celebrate, and to support the wider pub sector.

Beer Day Britain is always a fun and positive celebration,” said Jane. “In previous years, pubs have marked the occasion with special events, quiz nights, and beer and food matching menus. Some have even assembled teams to compete in Beer Day Britain’s Got Talent by singing Cheers To Beer, the official anthem of Beer Day Britain.”

Each year, the focus of Beer Day Britain is the national ‘Cheers To Beer’ toast at 7pm. This simple activity is not only marked across the UK, but by beer drinkers around the world. The hashtag #cheerstobeer always trends on social media.

Jane added: “Beer has a supernatural ability to unite people and get the party started. Beer is Britain’s national alcoholic drink, so you could say that every day is beer day. But 15th June is an extra special day, and one to bring the nation together to say Cheers To Beer!”
