Hook Norton Brewery has created JB’s Journey, to help raise awareness of the former Banbury Rugby Club captain and coach John Baker, who sustained a serious injury last November.

Brew day for JB’s Journey at Hook Norton Brewery
John’s wife, Tina, daughter Georgina, and close family friend Paul Jackson joined brewer Robin Underwood at Hook Norton Brewery to take part in the brew day.
Together, they spent the day crafting JB’s Journey, a beer dedicated to supporting John and his family during his ongoing recovery.
JB’s Journey will make its debut on the bar at Banbury Rugby Club’s next home game on December 6th. It will also be available in a number of local pubs. All proceeds from the beer will go to the JB Foundation.

“I played with John and worked with Tina, so this is very personal to me, and being able to help the family means a lot,” said Mark Graham, marketing manager at Hook Norton Brewery.
“Beer and rugby clearly go very well together, and as a brewery we are proud to support the club and all that they do.”
Hook Norton Brewery has extended its thanks to everyone supporting JB’s Journey, and invites all to raise a glass (or two) to John, his family, and the spirit of togetherness that defines the rugby family.
