Loch Lomond Brewery have brought home their biggest ever haul of awards from this year’s SIBA Scotland Beer Awards.

There were 25 medals, including 12 golds and the overall cask champion award for Bravehop, their acclaimed 6% ABV West Coast IPA.
The Dumbarton-based brewery — one of Scotland’s most awarded breweries — will now represent the Scottish region once again at the UK Indie Beer Awards national finals next March.
The SIBA judges clearly loved Bravehop, an IPA brewed with Columbus, Chinook, and Amarillo hops. Marmalade and pine aromas lead to caramel and apricot flavours, followed by a bittersweet finish.
It was another great year for Loch Lomond’s juicy citrus-fresh American-style pale ale Southern Summit, picking up gold in its cask and keg categories. The alcohol-free version also took gold, in its 440ml can format.
“We have literally doubled our haul from last year,” said George Wotherspoon, head of sales and development at Loch Lomond Brewery. “So we are very proud of everyone on the team at Loch Lomond Brewery for always striving so hard to produce the best quality beers we possibly can.
“From stouts and premium lagers to pale ales, British bitters and speciality flavoured beers, and, of course our new alcohol-free beers, we cover a lot of ground, so maintaining the highest of standards across all formats emphasises just how good our beer making is.”
