Abbeydale Brewery have announced the opening date for Abbeydale Beerworks, their new taproom based on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield.

Just a stone’s throw from the brewery itself, the taproom is due to open to the public on Thursday, 7th May, from 4pm. It will be open six days per week.
The venue will act as a showcase for Abbeydale’s latest brews and small batch specials, with an extensive cellar refit allowing for eight keg lines and four casks. It opens as the brewery celebrates its 30th anniversary year.
The brewery team also plan to host exclusive tastings in the space, as well as community-focused events such as a running club. There will be an opportunity to host local craft classes, and a Forage to Funk scheme, aimed at making use of surplus and foraged produce in the brewery’s mixed fermentation project.
“It feels like our own taproom has been a long time coming, and we’re incredibly excited to finally be able to share it with our community,” said co-managing director Dan Baxter. “It feels like a pivotal moment for our team.
“We can’t wait to play a new part in the neighbourhood that already means so much to us, and that we’ve called home for 30 years.”
