A new marketing collective has launched with the specific aim of giving independent brewers and beer businesses the tools to take on the big players.

The Brand Weaver Collective is led by Tim Weaver, who has spent more than 20 years in branding, strategy, and design. He has worked with breweries such as Vale, Wilful, and Brains.
The collective’s mission is to even the playing field for independent breweries by offering support tailored to the way today’s indie beer businesses actually operate. It focuses on streamlining processes, with a keen knowledge of day-to-day life at a brewery.
Joining Tim are:
- Harrie Kelly, whose background spans brand strategy, marketing, and community engagement. She’s spent her career helping breweries like Northern Monk, SALT, and Ossett find their voice and connect with people who matter.
- Matty McMullen, a brand strategist and designer who has worked with the likes of Pillars and Two Flints to bring their story to life. He works with ambitious founders to build full brand worlds that feel clear, confident, and commercially strong.
- Jack Coomber, who has more than 10 years in FMCG marketing experience and specialises in blending strategy with proper hands-on delivery. He connects big picture thinking with real paying punters, from first awareness to loyal repeat buyers.
Together they have:
- Secured major supermarket listings
- Fuelled a 182% increase in online sales
- Achieved consistent 30 to 35% year-on-year growth
- Won a brewery rebrand of the year award
- Delivered a £750,000 crowdfunding campaign
“Breweries are full of stories waiting to be told,” said Tim. “Great beer is like a great album. You can have an amazing range of tracks, but it only becomes something unforgettable when there is a story that pulls people in. That is why the Brand Weaver Collective exists.
“A team of people who are unapologetically passionate about the beer industry, who understand what makes a brewery special, and who know how to communicate it in a way that creates real impact.
“This is the work I love, and the collective lets us bring all of that talent together to help breweries grow in the way they deserve.”
