Hook Norton Brewery is set to launch its first seasonal cask ale of 2026, Double Stout, a classic English stout crafted from the brewery’s original 1898 recipe.

A carefully balanced blend of black and brown malts gives Double Stout its distinctive character. Black malt enriches the beer with its deep, dark ebony colour, and delivers unmistakable toasted notes alongside hints of chocolate, coffee, and caramel, while brown malt contributes a satisfying dryness.
Hook Norton will officially launch Double Stout at a special event at The Bell, Adderbury, on Thursday (29th January) from 7–8pm. The licensees and the Hook Norton brewers will be on hand to offer free samples, tasty treats, and share the story behind the beer.
Double Stout will then be appearing on the bar at the brewery and in Hook Norton pubs and freehouses across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire, through February only.
