Paul Hegarty, a trustee of the Licensed Trade Charity and a non-executive director of SIBA, has been named as an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list.

The award recognises his charitable service to the hospitality sector.
“Paul has a long and illustrious history in the beer and brewing industry, and has, through his work at the Licensed Trade Charity, increased the availability of support for members of the hospitality industry,” said Andy Slee, chief executive of SIBA.
“Most recently, he was instrumental in facilitating a partnership between the LTC and SIBA to make financial, emotional, and mental health support more readily available for brewers, their employees, and families.
“On behalf of SIBA, I’d like to congratulate him on being awarded a much-deserved MBE in this year’s New Year’s Honours.”
