Dates have been announced for this year’s Cask Ale Week, and there are many ways in which drinkers, licensees, and brewers can take part.

Cask Ale Week beer

The event actually lasts ten days, and runs from 18th to 28th September. It celebrates a style of beer increasingly under threat, as pubs and breweries close, forced out of business usually by rising costs.

Formed in the early noughties by Cask Marque, Cask Ale Week is supported by the major trade organisations, brewers and pub groups, as well as by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

It’s an opportunity for pubs and breweries to get involved and encourage their customers to try real ale, and promote the drink by organising events and activities.

Licensee can:

  • Add events to a special interactive map;
  • Download official Cask Ale Week promotional material;
  • Request the Cask Ale Week quiz; and
  • Request a Pub Information Pack, offering tips and ideas to help make the most of Cask Ale Week.
