Congleton-based Beartown Brewery is launching a new campaign, Summer of Inception, getting under way with a beer giveaway and street art event.

On 5th July, from 10am-4pm, the brewery is inviting drinkers to “bring us any vessel, let us paint it, and we’ll fill it with free beer”.

From wheelbarrows to Wellington boots, top hats to toolboxes, if you can carry it, Beartown will fill it (with up to 10 free cans of Inception, their flagship hazy pale).

For each vessel brought in for beer, drinkers will be allowing Beartown to ‘brand it’ live on site by their spray-paint artist, using the brewery’s iconic logo stencil.

The event will take place at the site of Beartown’s original drive-through, in use during the Covid lockdowns. The drive-through was well used by the community during those tough times, and this summer event is a nod to that same spirit of connection, fun, and resilience, says the brewer.

“There are no tickets, no sign-ups, and no sales pressure,” says Beartown. “Just turn up, bring a vessel, and be part of something delightfully ridiculous.”
